Latest Census Data Underpins Popularity Of Online Marketing and Advertising Service.

MapData Sciences Pty Limited announces the latest version of the online marketing and advertising system Tactician Online Australia which includes data on Australian roads and Census data on Internet usage and day and night time population statistics. Customers in the franchise, fast moving consumer goods, finance, manufacturing and distribution sectors use the Internet based computer service to plan the location of new stores, manage sales territories and develop targeted media strategies.

MapData Sciences and Risk Frontiers provide "threat by peril" rating.

To raise public and corporate awareness of natural hazard threats to property and life, MapData Sciences and it's newest partner, Risk Frontiers, have launched two new street address based online services – a Natural Hazard Risk Profile Application and a Natural Hazards Risk Web Service. Both services provide "threat by peril" risk ratings for individual Australian properties as they pertain to bushfire, earthquake, hailstorm, tropical cyclone, and, where available, riverine flood. They also provide other contextual information such as elevation above mean sea level, aspect and distance from the shoreline.

Microsoft Appoints MapData Sciences as Virtual Earth reseller

There has been a lot of interest in Australia and New Zealand for MapPoint/Virtual Earth Webservice. Up until recently, contact was to be made through the UK office and now there is a local contact and support. On the 2nd April 2007, MapData Sciences Pty Ltd (MDS) was appointed reseller for MapPoint/Virtual Earth Webservice for Australia and New Zealand. MDS was appointed to this position due to the 20 years experience they have in the Australian and New Zealand marketplace and has made the investment in providing the local sales and support. Microsoft is providing the mapping service and MDS is responsible for establishing each customers MapPoint Web Services account and all end user support.

DEW (formally Department of the Environment and Heritage -DEH) has been a customer of MapData Science for some time now "enabling both departmental staff and the public to have internet access to sophisticated digital maps and reports, the Department has underpinned its role as a key player in helping protect Australia's heritage and environment".
The user story shows how one MDS customer is enjoying the benefits of improved analysis and service delivery by using MDS' Australian RoadNet, CadLite, GNAF, Postcode boundaries, Suburb/locality boundaries, ABS Administrative boundaries & Commonwealth Electoral boundaries.

Lane Cove Tunnel and Falcon Street Gateway - Opening 25th March

The Lane Cove tunnel and the Falcon Street Gateway will open on the 25th March, with a one month toll-free period for motorists. The tunnel will significantly cut down travel times to and from the city, connecting the M2 motorway with the Gore Hill freeway. MapData Sciences has made the appropriate changes to the road network, with online customers accessing this information immediately and as a data product update for all customers under subscription maintenance of our RoadNet product.

The department formally known as DEH (Department of Environment and Heritage) has been a customer of MapData Science for some time now "enabling both departmental staff and the public to have internet access to sophisticated digital maps and reports, the Department has underpinned its role as a key player in helping protect Australia's heritage and environment".
The applications built internally by DEW made such a good story that an article was written, highlighting what our data customers are able to produce, and in this case, provide back to the community, protecting our scarce resources and precious environment.

Our crafty developers have been working hard to build a new range of Webservices that will be released very soon. These services will be aimed at the developer and in-house web development communities allowing them to build spatially aware applications, including geocoding, mapping, and routing functions which can be plugged right into any web development platform.
Additional Premises

As we have continued to grow and expand, we have needed to secure new premises. For this reason we have taken out a long term lease of additional premises in Greenwich. This has enabled us to provide an environment for our developers to work uninterrupted and continue to enhance and develop our products, with your feedback in mind.

MDS has recently entered into
an alliance with Tactician that enables MapData Sciences to provide
comprehensive, demographic-based, online services that deliver a
powerful competitive advantage to our customers.
MDS clients will soon be able to execute geographically targeted resource and investment decisions with much higher levels of confidence than has previously been possible. Decisions on territory planning, store locations, and media campaigns can now be made with targeted data that can then be presented as intuitive multi-layered maps and reports.
Sydney's Westlink M7 Motorway

Sydney's new Westlink M7 motorway opens this week. Our online services are already up-to-date, and your users will start seeing it on Thursday 15-Dec-05.
A special version of RoadNet for NSW will also be released in January containing the M7.
