Happening in Mapping”
MDS would like to thank its customers for having made the last year such a success. It has been a pleasure working with you all. Through your support and feedback, the MDS products and services offered at MDS have continued to grow, reflecting a changing market place.
A quick overview of the last year - MDS celebrated its 10th Birthday, designed a new company logo, developed a new mapping engine (click to see it now), a Business Intelligence (BI) Statistical Report service and released the Route Optimisation bureau service for sequence planning, an essential tool for organisation that need programmed or sequence delivery, merchandising or vending services.. As always there were too many road features added to the mapping data products to count, with new roads, roundabouts and turn restrictions, keeping the data team very busy as always.

Data Updates -
MDS will be shipping New Zealand CAD parcels by the end of July.
MDS is planning to ship, prior to the end of August, the Australian and New Zealand Suburb/Locality and MDS Postcode boundaries, to those customers under subscription.

A successful 3 day exhibition (25th - 27th June) with a lot of interest in Demographics and MDS' Tactician Online service.
The phrase we repeated often during the show was "Why use a shot gun approach when you can get a better bang for your buck - Use Tactician Online when planning your Direct Mail spend ."
Congratulations to our friends at Vodafone for winning best exhibitor stand. Not all of us can have a formula 4 racing car.

MDS was invited to participate on the 10th July as an exhibitor at the presentation on CLIMATE CHANGE: Cause & Effect to the Insurance Surveyors Discussion Group. The Guest Speaker was Mr Ken Thompson, Deputy Commissioner, Capability & Support,
NSW Fire Brigades.
The presentation was well attended and a lot of interest was expressed in MDS' online Natural Hazards Risk Ratings services, in particular flood but not excluding bushfire, hail, cyclone and earthquake data. |

MDS would like to welcome and introduce you to Tanya Carlile, MDS' GIS Officer working with Tony Maber within the Consulting and Demographics team. Tanya is excited about starting her career in the GIS industry in a group that continues to grow as mapping solutions and services become more and more mainstream.
Tanya is stepping in for Haydn Dyer who is moving back home to Adelaide at the end of the month. MDS would like to thank Haydn for his dedication, professionalism and customer service over the past 2 years. We wish him all the best for the future and congratulations on his engagement and pending marriage.
